Riding Tips

Best Riding Times

Early morning on weekdays for empty trails. Weekends get busy by 10am. Avoid riding 24-48 hours after rain — the clay soil gets slick and riding wet trails causes damage.

Trail Etiquette

Yield to hikers and runners. Call out when passing. Ride one direction (check trailhead signs). Don't cut switchbacks or skid through corners.

What to Bring

Helmet (required), water, spare tube or plug kit, multi-tool. Cell service is good throughout the park if you need to call for a pickup.

Parking

Free parking at the Big Creek Park trailhead on Old Alabama Road. Fresh Bikes is in the same complex — park here and ride straight onto the trail.

Right Next Door

Ride. Service. Repeat.

Fresh Bikes is located steps from the Big Creek Park trailhead. Finish your ride and roll straight into the shop for post-ride adjustments, demo a new bike on the trail, or grab a tube if you flatted.

  • Demo bikes on Big Creek trails before you buy
  • Post-ride tune-ups and quick fixes
  • Tubes, CO2, and trail essentials in stock
